The Daily Quest: Accessorizing

Here at WoW.com, we're on a Daily Quest (which we try to do every day, honest) to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere.

I have far too many armor sets. In fact, I have mostly completed every armor set except for tier 3, which is no longer obtainable because it existed in the original 40-man Naxxramas instance. I even have the Postmaster's Set -- don't ask how long it took to farm. Needless to say, fashionable accessories are all kinds of fun, and today we've got some links from around the blogosphere about accessories, both virtual and otherwise:

Attending BlizzCon in the flesh? You can get free passes to the pre-screening of The Raid, a Blue Loon film about the world of raiding and what it means to be a raider. The Daily Quest: Kicking it

The random dungeon finder has certainly made it much easier for people to find groups for various dungeons, even more so if you happen to be a tank or a healer -- but even DPS players don't have to wait too terribly long to get a dungeon out of the way. The best part, for me, is the surprise element of the random dungeon feature. You never know what you're going to run or who you're going to be running it with. Sometimes you end up with good people, and sometimes you end up with bad -- which is where the vote-kicking feature comes in. Let's take a look around the blogosphere and see what others have to say about grouping:

You Yank It You Tank It has some words of advice for groups on how to treat a tank.
Big Bear Butt talks about the behavior of players in WoW and the vote-kick system.
Thoughts From the Shadows discusses 5-man etiquette.

Don't mind me, strange squishy silver blob thing. I'm just a box. A box full of stabbing. Speaking of killing, there were a few pretty interesting posts around the blogosphere recently that discussed the topic of "virtual murder" and the habit of killing things in video games:

Tobold's MMORPG blog asks why there's so much virtual murder out there.
The Noisy Rogue ponders the idea of killing's becoming utterly mundane.
Jinxed Thoughts wonders what would happen if you could kill anyone in game, regardless of faction.
On a happier, less murderous note, Big Bear Butt would like to tell you about a few of his favorite things.

The Daily Quest: You guys wanna join my guild?

I pretty much fell in love with my current guild the moment I joined it. In the six (nearly seven now, isn't it?) years I've been playing World of Warcraft, I've belonged to very, very few guilds, and there's a reason for that -- once I find one I like, I stick with it. Despite belonging to only a handful of guilds in my WoW lifetime, I've run the gamut from casual to hardcore raiding to RP to casual raiding. Each guild was run a little differently, and each guild had its own methods of recruiting. Today we've got a handful of posts about guilds:

Can't we all just get along? It's a frequently asked question -- and in bigger groups and guilds, the more people you shove in, the more you hear it. With so many different types and personalities, you're bound to have clashes happen. What's guild to do when it comes to keeping things organized? Some people have things to say about everything under the sun -- like the goblin pictured above, who is engaging in a frank and earnest discussion about poultry-based thermodynamics and the merits of their application in conjunction with other forms of flightless fowl. Unfortunately the only person that would listen to her is Chilly the penguin, who simply doesn't know any better. Fortunately, we've found some posts that are much more entertaining than Miss Yammersalot.
